Week 3: “Guest” post

Hey, what’s up, everyone! It’s your boy, G-Dragon, and I’m here to spill the tea on my journey from being a trainee to becoming a worldwide K-pop star.

Back in the day, when I first joined YG Entertainment as a trainee, it was no joke. The training was hardcore – singing, dancing, rapping – you name it. I had to hustle hard to meet the crazy high standards set by the industry. But you know what they say, no pain, no gain.

During my trainee days, I had the privilege of training alongside some insanely talented folks who would later become my Big Bang crew. We went through it all together, from the grueling practice sessions to forming a bond that’s unbreakable.

I won’t lie; there were times I doubted myself. But the support from my fellow trainees, mentors, and the dream I had for my future kept me pushing forward. I drew inspiration from all sorts of music, Korean and international, to mold my own unique style.

Then, boom! Big Bang debuted, and that was just the start. We faced highs and lows, successes, and challenges. But those experiences shaped us, both as artists and as people. As time went on, I started doing my solo thing, experimenting with different sounds and expressing my own artistic vision.

Becoming a global K-pop star wasn’t a cakewalk. It took pushing boundaries, staying real, and connecting with fans all over the world. Collaborating with international artists helped take K-pop to new heights.

Through it all, I’ve stayed true to my passion for music. The journey from trainee to global icon was a wild ride, filled with hard work and love for what I do. Massive shoutout to my fans, my crew, and everyone who’s been part of this crazy journey.

Thanks for rolling with me, and stay tuned for more vibes and beats!
